  • I can’t see the desk I need on your website. Do you offer any other sizes, shapes or materials?

    Please contact us and we will do our very best to fulfil your requirements.

  • How do I cancel my hire?

    You just need to give us 14 days notice in writing prior to your minimum hire term expiring.

  • If I like the desk and wish to purchase it outright, is this possible?

    Yes, we are happy for you to buy the desk that you are hiring. Just get in touch and as an existing customer we will provide you with a discount based on how long you have been hiring from us. If you wish to purchase a brand new desk this can also be arranged.

  • What is the installation process?

    Usually the desk will be delivered to you in two parts – the frame and the desktop. Our engineer will then require approx. 15-30 minutes to assemble them. We do endeavour to keep noise to a minimum though use of an electric screwdriver and small hammer is required. Please ensure that there is a space cleared for the desk prior to delivery.

  • How long will it take before my desk gets delivered?

    From the order being placed we aim to get the desk installed within 10 working days. We are sometimes able to deliver out of hours though this may incur an additional charge.

  • What sort of quality should I expect from the desks?

    The frames we use are produced by a Danish company and are CE marked to indicate that they conform with relevant EU directives regarding health and safety or environmental protection. They are made of folded steel and have a powder coated paint finish.

    The power supplies are GS tested (German Standard)

    Most of the desktops we use are hand crafted in England and all are FSC compliant meaning that all timber used is reputably sourced.

  • Are the desks safety tested?

    Yes, each desk is thoroughly checked, serviced and cleaned prior to delivery to ensure everything is working and looking as it should.

  • Are the desks insured?

    Our desks and accessories are insured on the premises of Hiredesks and during transit. It is your responsibility to ensure that your home or work insurance covers the equipment against all damage risk whilst in your possession.

  • What if there is a fault with the desk during my hire period?

    In the unlikely event that this happens, just call or email us. We will try to remedy the situation over the phone/email with you but if this isn’t possible then we will send an engineer out to you, free of charge, to try and fix the problem. If this can’t be done on site we will provide you with a replacement desk. We aim to do this within 10 working days.

  • What is the minimum hire period?

    12 weeks.

  • How do I place an order?

    You can either place your order online by clicking the ‘Hire’ tab and then selecting the desk you are interested in. Alternatively you can call us on 01440 786 454.

  • Do you offer any discounts if I hire more than one desk?

    Yes. Call us on 01440 786 454 or email us at so that we can discuss your requirements.

  • How do I go about paying?

    Upon placing your order we ask for your credit/debit card details and will take the first 4 weeks rental payment in advance, a deposit (if applicable) plus the delivery fee.

    Upon delivery of the desk we will ask you to complete a credit/debit card authorisation form so that we can collect subsequent rental payments every 4 weeks thereafter.

  • Do you require proof of ID?

    We will ask to see photo ID (passport, driving licence or ID card) as well as proof of residence (bank statement or utility bill).
